We-Entrepreneurs - Terms and Conditions.
1. Membership
1.1 In consideration of the payment of an annual subscription, you are acknowledged as a Member of We-entrepreneurs and are entitled to the Member Services applicable to your category of membership. We-entrepreneurs reserve the right to reject a membership application, without prejudice, and will refund all monies paid by the applicant within 7 days.
2. Member Services
2.1 We-entrepreneurs shall provide opportunities to members to network at least 4 times per year in each of the current city locations (These are currently Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Aberdeen and Copenhagen).
2.2 In addition to the facility in the Clause 2.1, We-entrepreneurs shall provide Silver, Gold and Gold PLUS membership packages, the current details and prices of which can be found on the We-entrepreneurs website (www.weentrepreneurs.com).
2.3 We-entrepreneurs may from time to time at their sole discretion promote and organise other events for the benefit of members, who will be advised of these through our website.
2.4 We-entrepreneurs may offer invitation events exclusive to a particular group of members defined by membership type (E.g. Ambassadors, Gold PLUS).
3. Subscriptions
3.1 The annual subscription year shall run for one calendar year commencing on the first day after the member's subscription fee has been paid.
3.2 The services specified in Clause 2.1 shall be included within the subscription, but such other services as are provided by We-entrepreneurs shall be charged out as directed by them.
3.3 Once paid, a subscription is only refundable if a person's application has been rejected by We-entrepreneurs. This will be processed within 7 days of any application being received. Otherwise, the membership subscription is not refundable in any respect or at any time except at the discretion of We-entrepreneurs.
3.4 There are a limited number of memberships for Emerging Entrepreneurs and Associates. Membership at this level is annually reviewed, and members may only remain as Emerging entrepreneurs for a maximum of two years. Associate membership is available for non-entrepreneurs including business angels and VCs.
3.5 Members may be eligible for Gold/Gold PLUS membership if they have previously headed a High Growth company or one with a turnover in excess of 1,000,000 EURs (~700K) or raised 100,000 EURs (~70K).
4. We-entrepreneurs Events
4.1 Refunds for We-entrepreneurs events are only available if notice of cancellation is received by noon, two working days before the commencement of the event. (If the event is set down for a Monday the notice should be given by noon on the Thursday the week before the event).
For members with events included in their package (Gold PLUS, Silver Inclusive and Gold Inclusive), if the member is unable to attend an event notice of cancellation must be received by noon two working days before the commencement of the event. If this notice is not received then We-entrepreneurs will hold the member as having attended the event and their event allowance will be reduced.
4.2 The event fees shall be as from time to time determined by We-entrepreneurs and there may be different levels of fees as We-Entrepreneurs shall determine.
4.3 There are a limited number of places available for non-members at each event and priority will be given to members for events.
5. Rules and Regulations
5.1 We-entrepreneurs reserves the right to set out specific rules and regulations for the management of the Member Services and of any events organised by We-entrepreneurs.
6. Termination of Subscription
6.1 We-entrepreneurs (acting reasonably) reserve the right in its sole discretion to terminate or suspend a membership at any time by giving seven days written notice. In such situations, We-entrepreneurs will refund subscription fees on a pro rata basis.
7. Definitions and Interpretation
In these terms and conditions the following expressions shall have the meanings attributed thereto:-
"Member" means any person for whom or on whose behalf a subscription has been paid.
"Member Services" means the services provided in terms of Clause 2;
"Subscription Fee" means the amount of money to be paid for a particular membership package, the current rates being reflected on the We-entrepreneurs website.
